2011 Ford Ranger.

Ford has introduced the new Ranger pick-up truck. The vehicle will be launched in Europe later in 2011. The Range has been developed to combine the model’s traditional strength and durability. Furthermore, it has increased loading capability, better performance and fuel consumption. Finally, 2011 Ranger features enhanced comfort and safety, smarter technology and a brutal new look.
2011 Ford Ranger Wildtrak will be produced in South Africa, Argentina and Thailand. However, it will be offered in more than 180 markets worldwide.
The new Ranger is available in three cab body styles – Single Cab, RAP (Rear Access Panel) Cab and Double Cab. There are also options for 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains, two ride heights and up to five series choices, so the vehicle will suit to every pocket and maket.
The engine range in Europe includes two Ford Duratorq TDCi diesel engines – 2.2 litre with 150PS and 375Nm and 3.2 litre with 200PS and 470Nm of torque. The small diesel achieves 7.6 litres per 100 km (37.2 mpg) and the bigger has an average fuel consumption of just 8.4 litres per 100 km. With a generous 80 litre fuel tank, 2011 Ranger also offers one of the longest ranges in its segment, with as much as 1 000km (620 miles) possible between fill-ups.
The towing capacity is best-in-class 3350kg and the payload capacity is up to 1333 kg.
The options list includes SAT NAV system, Bluetooth®connectivity, voice control, Rear View Camera System with a display integrated in the rear view mirror, etc.
The safety is granted thanks to new side curtain airbags and thorax-protecting front-seat side airbags fitted as standard. Furthermore, 2011 Ranger Wildtrak includes Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control, and Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
